Officers nabbed a Puna woman for driving a stolen truck, police said.

On Monday, police saw a pickup truck reported as stolen in Ainaloa and arrested the driver, 23-year-old Ashley Grammer of Pahoa. The truck had been taken Aug. 25 from a parking lot on Old Volcano Road in Volcano, police said.

Grammer was also arrested and charged with two counts of contempt of court.

Police got a search warrant on the truck and found a substance resembling crystal methamphetamine.

On Tuesday, Grammer was charged with driving a stolen vehicle and possessing an imitation substance. Her bail was set at $2,500 and her initial court appearance on the new charges was Wednesday.
